History

Thanks to his experience in the bathroom sector accumulated since 1963, José Estapé founded Estoli, S. A., in 1980. The new company was born out of pioneering research into the application of a new injection technology named "coinjection."

Estoli soon became an important actor in the Spanish market, gaining a reputation with retail establishments for the design and quality of its toilet seats. The company continued to grow by way of national accounts with its own brand and production for large porcelain manufacturers (OEM).

In 1990 Imma Estapé, José Estapé’s daughter, entered Estoli. Her main goal was to transform Estoli into a company with a powerful international vocation. Estoli once again became a pioneer by beginning to participate in the ISH international fair in Frankfurt.

During these years, the company created a network of distributors and representatives in Europe and established alliances with important worldwide porcelain producers. This internationalisation phase consolidated Estoli as an important actor in the industry, gaining a substantial share of the European market. Since 2004, Estoli’s growth strategy has been to combine its traditional technological excellence with a firm commitment to design. For the first time in the company’s history, Estoli began to collaborate with prominent young designers for two new full collections: Mario Ruiz (Solid collection) and Roviras&Torrente (Modular Modules collection).

Located in Barcelona, one of Europe’s most dynamic design capitals, Estoli is also a member of SIDI, a Spanish design group composed of prestigious designers and manufactures for domestic habitats.
